Vincent de Rul was appointed to the role of Director of EV Solutions in 2020. His role was created to provide focussed support for the development of the EV Business for EDF in the UK, in line with the EDF Group E-mobility Plan that was launched in October 2018.
An experienced leader, Vincent first joined EDF in 2016 to head up the Business Development Team responsible for EDF supply activity for business customers.
Moving into the role of Energy Solutions Director in 2018, Vincent was responsible for the development and sales of all Energy Solutions for business customers, including energy monitoring and energy efficiency, Demand Side Response (DSR), storage and Electric Vehicles (EVs). This responsibility also included the metering business and ECO (Energy Company Obligation).
Vincent brought to EDF Energy his extended experience in the energy services business, having worked for EDF Fenice in Italy and then for EDF Fenice Rus, the Russian subsidiary of Dalkia, where he was Chief Executive Officer.
With the Government bringing forward the ban on sales of new petrol/diesel cars and vans to 2030, and hybrids in 2035, the need for companies to start introducing electric vehicles onto their fleets has become even more urgent.
